My friends remind me often that I am "sooo lucky" to have not only my children living nearby but now our first grandchild only minutes away.
~~~
I think about how lucky I am everyday! It's not something I take for granted, I am truly blessed to have this little one, so close to me.
Her mommy & daddy love to share her with us, and we love having them all here as often as they want to be here !
We spend alot of time together which Rick and I LOVE.
She is the "apple of our eyes"
To say that someone or something is "the apple of one's eye" is to say that he, she or it is the most cherished or valued among many.
The metaphor first appeared in English around A.D. 885 and has been in nearly constant use ever since
The phrase is from the Bible (Deut. 32:10), which says the Lord kept Israel 'as the apple of his eye.'
Monday, I had Audrey most of the day. I decided it was time to have her learn about the art of editing pictures. She loves playing with the "mouse", it's a toy to her and she would eat it if she could. So your thinking, "is she really sitting there, all by herself at 4 months, without an adult hanging on to her", the answer is NO... I did a little editing myself and removed my hand off her back, but.... in all fairness to Audrey she is sitting up pretty good all by herself these days, she's learning to balance and getting better at it every day.
